Chain Making Workshop
Form, solder, texture, repeat…
Hand forge your own truly unique chain link necklace in this fully immersive full day workshop. Under guidance, you will learn how to form, solder, texture, refine and connect simple silver links. You can then let your creativity run wild choosing the size, shape, texture and finish of your links, connecting them together to produce a stunning piece of jewellery. Fiddly? Yes. But totally worth it? Absolutely! You will leave your chain making workshop with a one-of-a-kind, money couldn’t buy, made entirely by you, future heirloom necklace!
You will be given sufficient sterling silver wire and belcher chain to create the equivalent of a 20″ paperclip chain necklace, plus copper or brass wire for any additional accent links. Additional silver can be purchased on the day if you wish to make heavier links or a longer chain.
This workshop would be best suited to those who have previously attended a ring making workshop and are familiar with forming and soldering rings, as this is a key component to making chains.
