Workshops

Ever fancied trying you hand at making your own jewellery? Now you can!

I run regular jewellery making workshops at The Forge Studios in Allendale, Northumberland. Current workshops include stacking rings, bangles and pendants. Following an introduction to the tools and a short demo, you will produce your own jewellery under my guidance throughout. Group sizes are limited to 4 people to ensure you get plenty of help along the way.

Within the workshop you will be using tools including saws, files, gas torches for soldering and a range of hammers. We therefore have a minimum age of 16 and ask that anyone under 18 is accompanied by a parent or guardian. All tools, equipment and refreshments (including very good cake from the Forge’s own cafĂ©!) are included.

I also run private jewellery making workshops for one or two people in my studio. These allow you the chance to have a bit more choice over what you make. You also get to try your hand at some more complex techniques which might not be suitable within a group environment. If you have a younger child who would love to try their hand at jewellery making (recommend 12+), this would be the ideal way of doing it. They can be far more closely supervised and you can decide yourself which stages of the make you are happy for them to do or which you would prefer to do yourself.

Click here for details of my current group workshops . If you wish to discuss a private workshop package, or to book in your own larger group, then get in touch.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your amazingly inspirational workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and would highly recommend these workshops to everyone.
