A pretty, one-of-a-kind gemstone necklace

This sweet necklace features a teardrop shaped malachite cabochon set in sterling silver, and forms part of my Spring 2025 ‘Spring Greens’ special collection. The beautiful fresh green colours and patterns of the malachite are completely natural. The silver setting has a scalloped edge detail, and the pendant is completed with a sterling silver chain.

A note about the Spring Greens Collection

I’ve always loved Malachite. It holds a very special place within our family, with memories of living in Africa as a child and my parents buying a huge chuck of it, half polished and half left natural, from a market. It is still much coveted by both myself and my sister, and I’m sure when the time comes it will be the thing will be most likely to argue about!

I absolutely adore the variations in the shades of green contained even within just one stone, as well as the beautiful patterns revealed when the stones are cut and polished. Over the past few years I’ve slowly built up a collection of cabochons, just waiting to be turned into beautiful jewellery. The inspiration for the Spring Greens collection came (as it often does!) from being out walking. I noticed the colour of the landscape slowly changing, with green shoots of spring slowly coming to life, and that stash of malachite stones came straight to mind!
