This pretty pendant has been inspired by nature’s superheroes, and features a brass honey bee on a sterling silver circular link. The honey bee design has been impressed into a nugget of recycled brass and soldered onto a hand formed silver ring. The necklace is finished with a delicate sterling silver chain.

How I make your Bee Imprint Necklace

Each bee impression is produced individually me in my studio; there’s no mass production going on here! Firstly I melt down an ingot of brass using the offcuts I keep from other projects. Then I press the shape using an impression die and a hydraulic press. For the larger pieces this could be repeated 4 or 5 times before I’m totally happy with the depth and detail of the print, annealing the metal between each stage. Once I think I’ve got the perfect print, I file away the excess material and smooth the edges then solder onto a sterling silver ring before attaching a bail. The impression gets a light oxidising to really make the details pop before the whole thing gets a final polish. And voila!

Returns and Cancellations

I gladly accept returns and exchanges.

If you wish to return an item please contact me within 14 days of receipt and return it within 30 days of receipt. Return postage will only be refunded if the item is found to be faulty.
