Silver Spinner Ring Workshop

Enjoy a hands-on workshop, and come away with your own fabulous sterling silver spinner ring!

In this ring making workshop you will produce a sterling silver spinner (or ‘fidget’) ring; a wide, textured silver band with a narrower, free moving ring ‘trapped’ on the outside. Under guidance, you will work through the different processes including measuring and cutting your metal, forming, soldering, texturing, refining and polishing your rings, before finally flaring the outer ring to trap your spinner in place.

This spinner ring workshop would be most suited to those who have already taken part in one of my stacking ring sessions, as some basic experience of soldering would be useful to producing your beautiful ring. However this isn’t a prerequisite as the workshop should still be accessible for a complete beginner, but please be aware that a good degree of dexterity is needed for this workshop.

You will be provided with sterling silver for your main ring band, and copper / brass for the spinner. You may be able to make an additional copper / brass spinner depending on your progress and time available. If you would prefer to make your spinner in sterling silver, this can be purchased on the day for a small additional charge (currently £10 though subject to change depending on silver market prices).

All workshops take place in my studio & shop in the centre of Hexham, Northumberland. Workshops are a great way to spend some fun time with family or friends, or even to take time out for yourself for some mindful making. You will receive an email containing full joining instructions and up to date H&S details a few days before your workshop.
