Autumn Inspired Pendant / Earrings Workshop

Make your own Autumn inspired jewellery

In this fully hands-on workshop you’ll have a fun introduction to a range of jewellery making techniques to produce an Autumn inspired copper or brass leaf pendant or earrings. You may even have time to make both depending on the complexity of your design and the time available!

The workshop will start with a quick demo of metal cutting, forming and texturing techniques, with some time for you to explore tools available and plan your design. (Don’t worry if you aren’t feeling fully creative as there will be plenty of templates and examples available to help inspire you if needed!). You will then cut out your design from your choice of copper or brass sheet before adding details using a range of texturing hammers and punches, before finishing with some patina and a polish. You will be provided with a sterling silver chain for your pendant or wires for earrings, plus you can choose from  selection of gemstone beads if you’d like to add a little accent to your finished design.

The examples in the photos give an idea of what you could expect to make, though of course you can let your creativity flow!

All workshops take place in my studio & shop in the centre of Hexham, Northumberland. Workshops are a great way to spend some fun time with family or friends, or even to take time out for yourself for some mindful making. The minimum age for this Autumn Leaf pendant workshop is 16, though under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult. You will receive an email containing full joining instructions and up to date H&S details a few days before your workshop.
