Big Bold & Beautiful Brass Jewellery Making Workshop
Go big or go home!
In this fully hands-on jewellery making workshop you’ll have a fun introduction to a range of jewellery making techniques and will leave with a fabulous “big, bold and beautiful” brass statement pendant or pair of earrings.
The workshop will start with a quick demo of the tools you will be using, which includes a range of cutters, punches, formers and hammers. Then, with the help of some inspo sheets and sample pieces, you will plan out your design, after which the real fun begins! Working with brass metal sheet and / or wire, you will cut out your metal shapes, before texturing, shaping, refining and finally polishing your completed piece of jewellery.
The examples in the photos give an idea of what you could expect to make, though of course you can let your creativity flow!

All workshops take place in my studio & shop in the centre of Hexham, Northumberland. Workshops are a great way to spend some fun time with family or friends, or even to take time out for yourself for some mindful making. No previous jewellery making experience is needed for this workshop, though a degree of dexterity is needed for cutting and forming your metal. The minimum age for this brass statement jewellery workshop is 16 (though any under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult). This is a non-soldering workshop, though you may still need to use the gas torch for annealing depending on your design. You will receive an email containing full joining instructions and up to date H&S details a few days before your workshop.
