It’s hard to believe, but this time last year I was standing in an old barber’s shop, keys in hand, and feeling both terrified and excited in equal measure! I had a vision, I’d done some sums and I knew it should work, but of course who really knows how things will turn out. Safe to say it’s been a whirlwind 12 months of painting, planning, learning, rearranging, decorating windows and growing, and I have zero regrets at all. Looking at the photos, I think we’ve made quite the transformation!
Time really does fly when you’re doing what you love (and working hard!).
Since we opened the doors in June 2024, LollaMac has grown into so much more than just a shop; it’s become a space for creativity, conversation, and community. One of my favourite things is seeing the look on people’s faces when they realise the jewellery on the shelves has been made right here, behind the counter. The tools are all out on display, and I love when visitors ask questions and get curious about the process. Not only that, but my workshops have become so popular, offering the opportunity to try it for themselves and escape from life for a few hours. They have been such a joy to run!
