Reclaimed Copper Shark Tooth Pendant

Rustic shark tooth design pendant made from reclaimed copper, hanging from a leather cord. Each pendant has been individually made by MrMac, and starts life as a melted down nugget of copper. The nuggets are pressed into a shark tooth shaped die using a hydraulic press and trimmed to shape. The oxidised finish really brings out the incredible texture of each impression. The leather cord is adjustable so can be worn as a choker or a longer length pendant.

A note about the “Made by MrMac” Collection

Hi, I’m Paul, aka MrMac. In November this year I’m taking part in a 4 day charity trek in the Moroccan Sahara, organised by the Queens Hall here in Hexham. I’m funding the trek myself, as well as raising an additional charitable donation towards the Queens Hall.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been taking over my wife’s bench on a Saturday, making a small collection of jewellery using reclaimed offcuts of brass & copper. It started off with a shark’s tooth impression pendant which I made for myself last year, as I was keen to play with her new 20 tonne hydraulic press! It got me thinking that I could do the same thing in copper and the idea of a mini collection to help my fundraising soon followed.

I’ve been guided along the way by Clare and have recorded the process for all the pieces I’ve made on my Mastodon account if you want to see what I did.
