Pendant or Earring Making Workshop

Get creative and make your own jewellery!

In this fully hands-on pendant / earrings workshop you’ll have a fun introduction to a range of jewellery making techniques.  You’ll leave the workshop with a beautiful necklace or pair of earrings (or maybe both depending on time!), made by your very own hands!

The workshop will start with a quick demo of the tools you will be using, which includes a range of cutters, punches, formers and hammers. With the help of some inspo sheets and sample pieces, you will plan out your design, and then the real fun begins! Working with copper and / or brass (or sterling silver, at a supplement), you will then cut out your metal shapes, before texturing, shaping, refining and finally polishing your completed piece of jewellery.

The examples in the photos give an idea of what you could expect to make, though of course you can let your creativity flow!

• Price includes all materials (copper, brass, gemstone accent beads, plus a sterling silver chain or pair of ear wires per person), use of tools and refreshments.
• Additional chains and ear wires can be purchased on the day if required.
• If you would prefer to work with sterling silver instead, this can be purchased on the day at the current market rate (at time of writing this would be £30).
• Workshops are limited to 4 people to ensure you have access to plenty of guidance and tuition throughout.

All workshops take place in my studio & shop in the centre of Hexham, Northumberland. Workshops are a great way to spend some fun time with family or friends, or even to take time out for yourself for some mindful making. The minimum age for this mixed metals jewellery workshop is 18. You will receive an email containing full joining instructions and up to date H&S details a few days before your workshop.
